Dr. Anjali Saple completed the coveted M.B.B.S degree from the prestigious Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College, Mumbai, with a distinction in most of the subjects. She stood second in Surgery in the University of Mumbai which was her passion. She decided to follow her passion and joined the Surgery Department of Lokmanya Tilak Hospital, Mumbai way back in 1993 at a time when very few girls took up this branch because of the rigorous training involved in the course. She then took the DNB General Surgery examination at the Armed Forces Medical College Pune which she cleared with flying colours. While pursuing General Surgery she had the opportunity to work in the Plastic Surgery Department of Lokmanya Tilak Hospital which was then headed by the very dynamic Professor Ravin Thatte. It was here that Dr. Anjali found her true calling. The beautiful blend of art and science is what attracted her to this wonderful speciality. As Dr. APJ Kalam once said “Dream is not what you see in your sleep, it is what does not let you sleep”. Dr. Anjali followed her dream and completed DNB in Plastic Surgery from Lokmanya Tilak Hospital, Mumbai. After her formal training was over she decided to work at Tata Memorial Hospital for further training in cancer reconstruction. Armed with a solid academic foundation and impeccable surgical skills she travelled to the city of Destiny to start the department of Plastic Surgery in the multispeciality Seven Hills Hospital. However her quest for perfection did not let her stop at this. She then trained in cosmetic surgery at Mercy Hospital, Buffalo, USA, and Santa Casa Hospital, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in order to hone and upgrade her skills. Her department was also chosen by the Smiletrain Organisation as their official partner in order to render free service to cleft children in 2005. Since then Dr. Anjali has performed more than 4000 free surgeries and put the smiles back on the faces of these children.
Till date she regularly upgrades her skill sets so that she can offer with utmost honesty the very best to each patient who visits her.

Dr. Sumitra Gantayet has done DNB General Surgery from Seven Hills Hospital Visakhapatnam following which she did her DNB Plastic Surgery from Ganga Hospital Coimbatore, where she gained experience in all kinds of trauma reconstruction, microsurgery, hand, and diabetic foot surgery. She has also worked for a year in Bombay Hospital to learn congenital hand and brachial plexus surgery. She has been working with Dr. Anjali Saple for the last 2 years.
